Plz help! i want to try scrunching my hair. i have...?

thick straight hair and it doesn't hold curl. for gels i have aussie and sprays i have aussie sprunch spray. i really don't want to mess this up so please help.

Plz help! i want to try scrunching my hair. i have...?

I don't know much about Aussie products, but Redken Curl Boost works wonders! After washing your hair, towel dry it really well, but don't comb it--flip your head and scrunch. Spray the curl boost all over and keep on scrunchin..Arrange pieces so it looks good, and when your hair is almost dry, add more boost and scrunch. If your hair is really thick, you might want to flip your head over when your hair is damp and loosly blowdry INTO your hair while scrunching (on low)

You can buy sample size bottles of products at your local beauty supply store to try out different products and find what you like

Plz help! i want to try scrunching my hair. i have...?

I don't do this quite often, but i have done it before.

When i scrunch my hair, i use moose, hair spray and gel.

After getting out of the shower, comb through your hair [don't brush, comb] and then put gel in your hand, not a LITTLE, a lot. then put your hands up the body of your hair and just bring it up.

keeop doing that all around your hair, then when you are done with that apply moose and hairspray.

=]

Plz help! i want to try scrunching my hair. i have...?

Have your hair pretty much damp and not completely towel dry.

Take the scrunching spray and apply to a 2 inch wide piece of hair then take your hand and put the hair in the palm and scrunch several times (Repeat with the rest of your hair)

Take the hair spray and spray several sprays around your hair so the curls/scrunches hold.

If you wish, also semi blow dry your hair after scrunching your hair to add more volume but leave it still sorta damp

Hope this help.(You can accessorize with some cute hairbands or a bump like my avatar).Best of Wishes

Plz help! i want to try scrunching my hair. i have...?

Whatever technique you to choose to scrunch, after you're done, through your hair up in a messy bun on the top of your head and leave it in for a while. (I do it overnight) My hair is straight and this is the only thing that would get it curly without an iron.

Plz help! i want to try scrunching my hair. i have...?

my hair is slightly wavy and I scrunch my hair about every day. the best thing I've found is a product called "Dream Curls" and it's made by John Frieda Frizz-Ease. You spray it in damp hair and then scrunch it up-it's not a hairspray or a gel, so it won't make your hair as stiff or sticky-I'd use it and either air or blow dry with a diffuser and then use the sprunch spray. It's about $6 for a bottle at Wal-Mart. but-don't brush or comb your hair after you use it because the waviness will not be nearly as defined.

My terrible hair?

I've recently had my hair cut like Rihanna's...it looks nice.

But ever since I've been using this new shampoo and conditioner, my hair has been TERRIBLE. It's been sort of greasy and crispy at the same time, if you know what I mean?

I've literally just used conditioner on it, and blow dried and straightned it after washing the conditioner out. It still feels mank. Could it be the fact that I straighten my hair everyday for 2 years running? Or do you think it is the new heat defence spray I've been using? It's only been looking bad for about a week, that's how long I've had both products...Anyone got any suggestions?

My terrible hair?

Give your hair a break from the conditioner and go back to your old shampoo. Try talcum powder in your hair. It might help it.

I don't think the straightening is the problem but don't do it so much till it gets better.

It might be yout heat defence spray, stop using it, and if the problem stops then you know its that. My hair always looks greasy when I use heat defence spray.

My terrible hair?

You might just be using too much conditioner, but if thats not the problem, than I would go to your salon and have them recomend a shampoo and conditioner, they will know how to fix the problem! Good Luck!

My terrible hair?

use dove shampoo.

My terrible hair?

go back to your old shampoo

My terrible hair?

I don't think that its the straightening is whats causing it because i have been straightening my hair for a long time and it hasn't done that to me. It could be the shampoo or conditioner or even the heat spray, maybe you should try using a different shampoo and conditioner for a couple of days, and if its still there then its the spray, but if its not then its the shampoo and conditioner!! Hope this is helpful!

My terrible hair?

it is proboly a combo of your new spray new shampoo and strating it every day

What should I do to keep my hair curly today?

My hair is naturally curly, but I always straightened it up until yesterday. My stylist finally helped me get it looking good curly. Last night I slept on it, and I can't wash it now until Thursay night cuz I just dyed it yesterday, too.

It doesn't look too horribly bad after having slept on it. Today

should I spray it with sea salt spray, then scrunch it? Or just spray it with water to re-activate the product already in it, then scrunch it? Yesterday my stylist mentioned that I should just spray my sea salt spray in it and scrunch it to do it today, but do you think that'll make it too crunchy-looking?

What should I do to keep my hair curly today?

if youve ever heard of a moisturizer called pink use that i use it and its perfect for my hair good luck all the best x

What should I do to keep my hair curly today?

Just spray a little bit just to help out with the product you already have in it. i had the same problem after i straightened my hair for a few years, and the herbal essecnces shampoo for curly hair really helps alot to help me get my curl back.

What should I do to keep my hair curly today?

do whatever your stylist says ..............she knows the best

lulu....

What should I do to keep my hair curly today?

If it was me, I would wet it again to activate the product in it and scrunch it. Then if I needed more product I would add it. Just my opinion.

My frizzy head is ridiculous-Ugh worse hair ever.?

Well everyday after a shower I put my hair up because it does not dry nicely. So it looks great when it is wet. But when its dried in the morning when I wake up my bangs are sticking straight up and my hair is a huge mess that I can't fix. My hair is naturally and very curly so it doesn't behave. I try a lot of products on my hair but it doesn't seem to work. I hear a lot that my hair is just dried out so I used moisture products from Tresemme and Pantene for 2 months but I see 0 improvement. I usually straigten my hair to get it under control but it seems to dry it out. I use heat protection spray but none of it seems to help. I take cold showers and I use leave in conditioner from Garnier Fructis and frizz control creams and it still doesn't work. And I recently got my hair cut and it still seems like it has split ends. I'm seriously thinking about shaving it ALL off and getting wigs like brittany spears!!!

My frizzy head is ridiculous-Ugh worse hair ever.?

oh dear! i have just the same problem! my hair are always frizzy and unmanageable.....it takes hours to detangle them.

like you said, i have also used almost all the products i can lay my hands on, and i tried several different hair cuts......but nothing seemed to work

Now i have started using a leave in softener called "livon"

it makes my hair a bit more manageable...

another suggestion is to tie it up in plaits and french braids if you can...it looks superb and the hair keep in place!

My frizzy head is ridiculous-Ugh worse hair ever.?

I had the same problem before I tried:

Olive Oil Shampoos, Conditioners, and Hair lotions!

They make my hair tangle-free, smooth, silky and really soft!

The problem is most people think because there hair is frizzy and coarse then you need to use a strong shampoo like Tresemme, Pantene (I've done them all). The key is you have to use a really, really, really gentle shampoo like Baby Shampoo or Olive Oil Products. Trust me it sounds weird, but it works! I have the worst hair ever too, but now that is all gone thanks to Olive Oil products. You can get them at Walmart etc and they are not expensive.

Good Luck and I wish you the best!

Hope I answered your question or at least helped!

My frizzy head is ridiculous-Ugh worse hair ever.?

I have the same problem for my frizzy hair quickly mix Olive oil with avocado leave on for 20 minutes use a shower cap you can also use hot oils once a week, pantene does nothing for my hair it makes it worse so I used John Freida is in a purple bottle or Aussie products. make sure you rinse the conditioner off don't leave it on for more than 2 minutes girls like us tend to think bz our hair is thick we need it longer but no do what it says in the bottle. after towel dry use hair polisher made from aloe Vera alcohol free you can use it to blow dried and wet. stay away from products with alcohol

My frizzy head is ridiculous-Ugh worse hair ever.?

Hi. Take a look at these websites. They have products for curly hair that might work for you. Tresemme and Pantene are good for conditioners/shampoos, but do nothing for moisturizing hair, which is what your hair needs. Plus that, you need something when your hair's dry.

You can also find great curly hair tips. However, I'll give you some and whatever else you find, you can incorporate it into your own regimen and use some of my own to see if it works for you.

1. When preparing to wash hair, put it in some big loose braids, like 6 - 8 or so. This helps to control your hair better.

2. When shampooing, only shampoo scalp. I find that when I apply all over my hair, it makes it so dry and strips the moisture away. You should only shampoo 1x/week, which would be considered clarifying your scalp. If you need to wash hair often, use conditioner instead as shampoo. It wont dry out, also it'll clean your hair just fine. Any cheap conditioner will do.

3. Wash out by running water through hair, squeeze braids gently. NEVER EVER RUB HAIR AGGRESSIVELY! YOU WILL GET FRIZZ! Just squeeze hair gently till suds are out.

4. Now, when applying conditioner, take 1 braid down, apply conditioner, smooth and fingercomb until tangles come out (or use a wide-tooth comb, but I like fingercombing better). Braid back, loosely, and then do to other braids and braid back.

5. Wash out by squeezing braids until conditioner comes out (you could also leave some conditioner in for extra softness).

6. NEVER TOWEL DRY HAIR OR FRIZZIES! Just squeeze out some water, and while wet, take down 1 braid, apply some curling custard cream (the websites I gave will have it) and braid back up, but loose or tighter this time. Do same to all other braids, spray a good leave-in moisturizer, and then let air dry. Take out braids and let hair loose.

NOTE: If you dont know how to braid, you can still do this. Just wash your hair, squeeze gently though, and when applying conditioner, apply it to sections of your hair, detangle, then wash out. Dont forget to squeeze hair gently, never rub. Sqeeze out excess water and while still wet, apply curling custard cream to sections of your hair to distribute evenly. You might need a spray bottle with water to spritz in your hair since the curling custard can only be applied when wet (if you do it dry, your hair'll be greasy). Spray some leave-in conditioner and air dry.

NEVER BLOWDRY. YOU WANT YOUR HAIR TO RETAIN ITS MOISTURE AND NOT DRY OUT. You should also have a good moisturizing cream or lotion to put in your hair when its dry. The websites sell those too and they're very good since its less chemicals. Hope this helps you. God bless.

I also forgot. You should deep condition hair weekly with heat to strengthen hair and make it more managable. You have to get a good deep conditioner ( I use the one from curls.biz) and a hooded dome hair dryer so you can do it at home. If you do it at the salon, its like $30 everytime you go. If you have the money to do it, do so, and if not, its better to do at home.

I woke up, and my hair is twice as long, how did it happen?

Well, I usually spike my hair, but I didn't yestarday because I didn't go anywhere. On friday, I put some green halloween spray on for the football game, and when I got home, I fell asleep with it on.

I took a shower when I woke up in the morning, and I still had a small ammount of the green spray on my scalp, I still have a tiny amount now too.

So to my surprise, spiking my hair was difficult this morning, I use got2bglued gel, and it was difficult because the spikes seemed much larger.

I got a haircut last weekend, my next one is this weekend. So I pretty much get a haircut every 2 weeks.

Just wondering how my hair grew so fast over a 2 day period?!

I woke up, and my hair is twice as long, how did it happen?

you got hit real hard in football and didnt wake up till the week after that. the end.

I have very straight hair and i want curly and/or wavy hair!! please help!!?

okay so i have like really straight hair. heres what i need help with--

1. i like the loose waves look but i have NO idea how to make them!! does anyone know like the EXACT product name of some scrunching sprays or something... anything that makes you have that kinda surfer scrunched waves?

2. i like also the loose curls. like maybe something like this-

http://au.i1.yimg.com/movies.aunz.yimg.c...

i really like her hair. anyone know good products that can create that?? for example.. the type/size curling iron or curlers.... whatever. or a type of spray or something.

please and THANK YOUU!!

I have very straight hair and i want curly and/or wavy hair!! please help!!?

if i were you, i would check into getting a really loose perm, that way you can scrunch your hair and it will be wavy and even somewhat curly but not tight curls...and you could straighten then if you ever wanted to wear it straight.

I have very straight hair and i want curly and/or wavy hair!! please help!!?

ya i agree with the other person try and bet a really loose perm

I have very straight hair and i want curly and/or wavy hair!! please help!!?

I would say to get textured fushion. It is like a perm but it isnt as tight and frizzy. It is wavy but you can scrunch or straighten it. I would also use got 2 be glued hair glue and got 2 be glued freeze spray with the textured fusion.

I have very straight hair and i want curly and/or wavy hair!! please help!!?

If you have very straight hair, it will be hard to maintain the curl for a full day.

The BEST solution would be to suck it up, and go get a perm. You can explain what you're looking for t o your stylist, and bring lot sof pictures, and they will first cut your hair so that the curls will look their best, and then probably pick a barrel size that will work best for the look you want.

If that's not an option for you, what you need to do is invest in a good curling iron with a large barrel (a fat one). Take a small piece of hair and brush it out. Spray with hair spray, and curl it on the iron. Spray again. Let go after 30 seconds, very gently. Do this until your all your hair is done. Then play around.

As far as the spray to get, any drugstore brand will do the trick. Just don't get something super cheap like Suave. Herbal Essenses or Pantene brands make a good spray.

Good luck hun. Try to go for the perm if you can because you can always flat iron it if you want to go straight for a day, which is much easier than curling. I did it for a few years :)

I have very straight hair and i want curly and/or wavy hair!! please help!!?

uhh.. Use curlers?

I have very straight hair and i want curly and/or wavy hair!! please help!!?

for the second pic here's how to do it: take a one inch curling iron and curl you hair in different sizes but don't curl the entire hair, leave the last inch or so straight. put a little bit of hair spray on after you do each layer then let dry and cool. run your fingers through your hair and there ya go

How do I keep my dair hair color from fading?

I naturally have a medium ash brown hair color. I prefer it to be darker and redder, so two weeks ago, I had it professionally colored a dark chocolate brown.

However, despite using Bedhead (i.e. expensive salon products) shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair and using a Regis (also a salon product) leave in color protecting spray, I am finding that the color is already beginning to fade.

I do not swim nor do I spend excessive amounts of time in the sun. What can I do to make the color last without fading? Are there any particular products that are good for this?

Thanks!

How do I keep my dair hair color from fading?

Hey, I know just what you're going through. Well the last time I had my hair cut, I asked the lady who cut it about that very problem. She said there isn't any magical thing to make it stay forever, but gave me these tips. !# don't use any more than a pea size amount of conditioner. 2#

Don't put any conditioner on the top part of your hair, because it's already oily there. and 3# Wash with almost cool water %26amp; rinse with cooool water. Heat makes the color fade fast! And guess what? It actually worked for me. Try it, it might work for you too.

How do I keep my dair hair color from fading?

put a paper sack over your head

How do I keep my dair hair color from fading?

Dark colours do not last that long, but you can use a semipermanent by L'oreal or Clairol Herbal Essences to give the colour a lift. There is also a colour-boosting glaze that takes ten minutes and is being advertised by Clairol, but I have never used it. Try a mahogany or bronze brown next time, or even a golden brown. They will last a little longer. You need a shampoo and conditioner, like one from Redken, that is designed for colour maintenance.

How do I keep my dair hair color from fading?

buy some shampoo for colored hair. oh %26amp; dont wash it like everyday maybe like every other day. oh %26amp; there should be some conditioner that came wit your hair dye if so .. use that once a week it will help. i have %26amp; my hair has been the same color for 5 months ! no lieee !

How do I keep my dair hair color from fading?

ask your stylist if she used permanent or non permanet color , that could be the reason , being your hair lighter if is semi permanent it will no matter what fade after some shampoos. Ask her to put permanent so you only have to touch up the roots otherwise you will have to refresh everymonth. another thing that helps is shampoo with color on it. Sexy hair , paul mithchell and artec have these types that deposit some pigment for the last week before next color appointment. Reds are difficult to keep vibrant and we only have to deal with the fact. I use that mocha color too and sun really dont help.

How do I keep my dair hair color from fading?

First of all is it a temporary color (rinse), Semi permanent, demi permanent, or permanent. It matters because, if its a rinse it will bleed and be on your collar, pillow and everything else, but it's actually supposed to hence the name. Rinses usually last up to 4-6 shampoos, Semi perm's last from 4-6 weeks (assuming you use a color protecting shampoo and conditioner). Demi perm's last the same as semi's and Permanents are of course permanent and won't wash out and instead grow out.

So it matters what type of color, what type of shampoo, your hair porosity, and also the environment.

Have you complained to your stylist as to what the cause of the color not lasting, if they cannot give you a direct answer that you are comfortable with, my advise would be to do your research and change stylists and keep in mind just because they own or work in a salon doesn't mean they are professionals and could just be in it for the buck!

Hope I helped

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

I used to have very curly hair. Now I am in my 50's and my hair has turmed into gentle curls. They are very pretty but the hair on my crown doesn't curl it just is sort of yucky dead and semi-frizzy straught. I call it my dead spot. I am looking for a non sticky product, something like a light spray or cream (not heavy or sticky) that will perk up my curls and get rid of my dead spot. All suggestions are welcome.

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

Try matrix curl-up spray its in an orange bottle just a little pricey but amazing. I have totally straight hair and it turns it into a full head of curls. You'll love it i'm sure!

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

I like Biologe Conditioning Milk and their Gel. Also, Sunsilk's new line works well

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

Try Herbal Essences

(none of you frizziness smoothing leave-in creme)

it's in a orange bottle

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

I would try talking to your stylist about it. My hair gets that way when it has grown too much and needs to be styled again. Otherwise Frizzease has a product that is called Dream Curls I believe. It is a clear spray liquid that doesn't get crusty and helps with the frizziness. What I use on my curly hair is Curlz Rock by Catwalk. It is a sticky white goo that you scrunch into your hair when it is wet, but when it dries it doesn't make your hair feel sticky or like it has a bunch of product in it. I do not like the goo on my hands though. Wash them very very good after using.

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

after styling your hair with curls you desire use spraynet but dont hold too firm so that it will not look so hard so what you will be doing while spraying your hair shake your hair just a little while spraying some of your hair...

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

Garnier Frutis

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

I have the same hair. Try sunsilk frizz free.. it turn your hair into wavy/culy soft well- shaped hair!

it works great

hope i helped- jas

What hair product can I use to turn my frizzy limp hair into curls?

Have you ever considered trying a type of mousse, I use Tresemme mousse and that is really light weight and it does the trick for me. I also use curlz rock by Bed Head, but that does have s type of sticky texture to begin with and then when its in your hair its fine.

How to have loose, soft, curls in hair?

i am trying to curl my hair with rollers, and i want semi-curls, meaning halfway down my hair i would like to be curly, but the top to be normal. i also want my curls to be kind of loose and not too tight of curls. what kind of rollers should i use?

and second do i apply those on damp hair or dry? once i wake up in the morning, i would want my curls to last a very long time, wat must i spray to have manageable soft curls instead of hard, spray-on curls? i kno there is a specific type of spray or mouse to apply to make it feel soft and long lasting..

tahnks everyone!!

How to have loose, soft, curls in hair?

you want to use loose rollers.

then pull on them when you take them out.

it depends what kind of curlers you have. just to be safe, use dry unless they are sponge curlers, then put them in when they are damp.

you can use some of Herbal Essences curling products to make them non-frizzy, soft, and everlasting.

hope i helped!

How to have loose, soft, curls in hair?

well, a curling iron would work best, better if ur hair is dry. if u want semi-curls then use a big curling iron, and curl the ends or the middle. and avoid using mousse or gel, b/c they would make ur hair all coarse. and use hairspray after u have curled ur hair, and do not touch it with ur hands a lot, b/c the oil from them would make them straighten out.

Dyeing Your Hair With Hydrogen Peroxide?

Unfortunately my skin is very light and any amount of time in the sun results in burns. I was told that by lightening my medium-dark brown hair (even just a few shades) will help to offset how noticeably light my skin is. I was told that by using a weak concentration of hydrogen peroxide (3%) that I could do it gradually with minimal damage. Right now I have been using a spray bottle to spray on the peroxide and I've already seen it starting to lighten up and it's pretty close to the shade I'm looking for (just before it starts to become brassy.) I would just like to know if I use this weaker concentration and only do it sparingly will I end up ruining my hair or having it fall out or something? Keep in mind this is by no means a drastic change, a few people have noticed just think I have been out in the sun. If I keep using a good shampoo and conditioner along with minimal peroxide use will I be o.k?

Dyeing Your Hair With Hydrogen Peroxide?

Us fair skinned/light skinned people usually have very sensitive skin....keep this in mind before trying.....also make sure before you do go ahead, be sure to condition your hair as this will really do a number on it as it will really dry it out, condition it once everyone 1-2 days on a regular basis and be sure to find the conditioner that is specified to dry/damaged hair. Try just a little bit somewhere it is not too obvious within your hair to make sure you are not too sensitive!

Dyeing Your Hair With Hydrogen Peroxide?

I am not very knowledgeable about hair, but I did work as a lifeguard last summer at the beach and all the guys there put it on everyday and never had a problem with hair falling out.

Dyeing Your Hair With Hydrogen Peroxide?

If you use hydrogen peroxide religiously, the chances are big in damaging your hair. Hydrogen peroxide are originally made to cleanse wounds, not to achieve a certain hair color. Sun exposure will also weaken your hair starnds and will result to more damage. Why not go in a salon instead and let them fix your hair dilemma?

Good luck! (^-^)

Does gel make hair fall?

hi, im 13 and have a heavy hair fall problem. {i used to dye it everyday, and also gel and spray}. it's been about 2 months since i haven't used any chemicles, and i want to know if it is strong enough to use gel for just one day {tomorrow.

Does gel make hair fall?

i think u should try not to use any of the gel tomorrow or any day till the hair become nice again because if u have used spray, gel AND dye, then it is certainly not nice at all for youur hair. because all these have chemicals that spoil ur hair and make them loose at the root causing them to falll. the chemicals dont block the oil glands in the hair and so the hair become rough and dry and lose their shine and health. it is certainly very good theat u managed to not use those for 2 months but to regain texture try rubbing oil on your scalp to help the glands function again. do this regularly and wash ur hair as well but dont leave them dry.

Does gel make hair fall?

u may use it 2morro but gels n dyes spoil d texture of ur hair in long term. ur hair start nto fall n de white before age.

Does gel make hair fall?

i dont think that gel or hairsprays makes hair fall...coz i'm a girl of 13 also and i use garnier hair gels to give a bright and a shiny looks to my hair and i alwys use it.....it dont makes me my hair fall...i think ur scalp does not suite hair gels or sprays .....its better not to use evryday only use it during any ocassions or whenever ur r up to go somewer .....

anywayz hope u'll accept my terms..

Does gel make hair fall?

thes days anything can make your hair fall out! everything has harmful chemicals in it! daily use of gel shouldnt hurt, although there are special formulated hair serums and gels etc for damaged hair to help revitalize and repair, they do work wonders!

Does gel make hair fall?

Actually, gel might hold it in better, so it wouldn't fall out. I don't think it would make it fall out, because gel is designed to hold things in place.

Can I combine hair products?

Does anyone with any hair knowledge/experience have any idea if I can use two hair products at once and still have the same results? I like to use Aussie's Sun Touched Shine spray daily, but I want to be able to use a heat protectant for blow drying (TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray). Do you think I can/should use them at the same time, or opt for one or the other?

Can I combine hair products?

there is absolutely nothing wrong with mixing brands.

just stay away from the really cheap stuff (suave) because when u mix it with certain things it makes ur hair yuck.

Can I combine hair products?

yes i do that with my products as weel, they will probably have an even better effect

Can I combine hair products?

I seriously do NOT recommend it, especially if its not the same brand...

there i usually a hair color that is already made that will fill your hair color mixing needs, but seriously if you do it it can do major damage and perminate odd color to your hair.... i would risk it.

Can I combine hair products?

of course you should see all the crap i put in my hair

Can I combine hair products?

i don't recommend it.

Can I combine hair products?

Most people use at least 2 different hair products. One of yours is mainly for shine and the other to protect your hair from the blow drying process..

Your doing fine, don't worry.

Can I combine hair products?

Yes that's perfectly fine, I use four combined hair products in my hair at the same time, just mix 'em together in the palm of your hand and go ahead. Nothing wrong with it.

How do I get my hair to be...?

Okay I have naturally very curly hair even curly at the roots, but my hair is fine and has a tendency to stick up and be very frizzy. I noticed it looks good when I put mousse or gel or spray in it but it gets hard and become a "curl trap" and doesn't have the soft curly look but the "crunchy curls" look which is pretty but makes my roots stiff and not able to move until i wash my hair. When I wash my hair and blow-dry it, it doesnt go straight, it is just very poufy, not curly or straight, just fluffy and kinda 80s or 70s looking. And if I air dry it, ti does the same thing. I have a flat iron and I can get my hair very straight when I use it, and I like the way it looks, the only problem is it lasts only a few hours and it becomes curly again...also, I dont want to have to make my hair straight all the time for it to be and look soft and manageable. how can I make it straight on top with loose bouncy curls towards the tips of my hair? I want loose, soft curls not tight kinky curls.

How do I get my hair to be...?

if you want your hair to stay straight longer try using aussie sydney smooth anti humidity hair spray it holds for 12 hours and doesn't make it stiff and for loose curls try herbal essences totally twisted curl scrunching gel it doesn't make your hair tight and hard

How do I get my hair to be...?

there's no way u could do that just accept the way u are

How do I get my hair to be...?

try using ION silk drops after the spray or gel (from sallys beauty supply stores)

Razor or Hair Removal Cream??

Hello I am in the midst of packing for my all-girls boarding school (by the way if you have any tips for meeting boys in an all girl's boarding school please distribute- will post separate question) but er back to the point.

Should I go buy some Veet or should I pack my schick vibrating razor and its blades?? Which is better? How long does a tube of Veet last? Which is more suitable for future boarding school life? Ingrown hairs, smell, ease of use, missed patches of stubbly hair... please put all into consideration.

Er also if you want to reccomend Veet, which one should I pick because there are so many! The bladeless thing or the spray-on (haven't tried it but I'm not convinced. Spray on- yeah like that'll really work), or the green thing that you sponge on in the shower that i've heard of??

Thanks thanks thanks in advance :)

Razor or Hair Removal Cream??

These creams are made of heavy harmful chemicals that have been linked to cancer in the long term.. Razors are okay if you are willing to shave verrry frequently.. they make your hair thicker, manlier and your legs rough ..

I recommend Wax Strips.. or invest in a Silk Epil (by Braun)machine that takes off your hair without the razor effects..and it takes longgg to grow back!!

I;ve tried all the methods..when I;m too lazy to wax, I just use the Silk Epil... (I even bought the Bride Edition) !! it costs around 92 US$

Razor or Hair Removal Cream??

I have never used VEET, so obviously I am a woman who shaves. BUT-- I have discovered that men's razors work much better than womens for whatever reason!

Razor or Hair Removal Cream??

i say 1 can of veet and if you can get the new venus breeze blade. the breeze blade is AWSOME!, u need no cream and its really good when time isnt on ur side (like your armpit that we like to forget about) just wet the area and the blade then your done . the blade has 4 good uses to it then its done(this includes legs and armpits!!) , the top is replaceable,so its preatty cool and your legs are hair free for a while !!!

i recomend the gillette venus breeze ! its light fast and hard working ! try it (it even smells good)

Razor or Hair Removal Cream??

I tried both Veet and Nair. Neither worked for me. They lasted just as long as shaving (a day or two) and made a big mess. However they work really well on thighs (if you shave them). I would just shave! It is simple, and quick! By the time you finish veeting your legs, it took 10 to 15 minutes! Shaving takes like 3. With Veet, you have to apply the cream, wait about 5 minutes (even if it says 3), and then rinse it all off, and then wash your leg. Difficult! Just shave!

Straightening my hair.......please help?

im african american, just to let you know. so i want to straighten my hair over the holidays. my hair currently is a huge afro. when you take braids out and wash it, blow dry it, etc., etc., it literally sticks out all over the place. im thinking of either:using a hotcomb, or using a relaxer, or getting a perm. I've heard of all the downsides of using these methods, and now I'm not so sure i really want to get it straightened now, let alone lose my hair. So, getting to the point, which method is best, and safer, for me, and will you really lose your hair when you get a perm/relaxer?? like will it fall out? or should i use anti-frizz spray or w/e? please help, im confused!

Straightening my hair.......please help?

uhh i used to have a hair like that i think the best thing u can do is to get a perm thats wat i did and it helps goood luck

ps i still hate my hair ughh but i straightein it like every mornin

Straightening my hair.......please help?

Ok, I've a got a soloution! Lol. You should buy a CHI straightener. Its pretty expensive but it is probably about the only staightener out there that will straighten your kind of hair. Plus, it will actually last. And to make sure it doesn't burn your hair, use a thermal protecting spray before you straighten it.

Straightening my hair.......please help?

Go with second answer. Chi products are top of the line, but there is one other product, but can't remember what it's called. Tri the Chi first, if you do't like the results, take it back and say it doesn't work. Whatever you do, don't perm your hair!!!! You will regret it.

Straightening my hair.......please help?

i wouldn't reccommend that you get a relaxer, unless you get it done professionally. It doesn't sound like your that educated on relaxers, so don't do it your self. It is a very strong chemical that can ruin your hair if you don't know what your doing. If you don't want to lose your afro/curls, then you can flat iron your hair and it will be straight temporarily. You would wash your hair, condition it, blow dry it lightly, apply a heat protectant, or pressing oil, then take small peices of hair and straighten it with the flat iron. make sure the flat iron is not too hot or you will have heat damage. if you don't want to do either of those, you can do a roller set. you would get rollers, put them in when your hair is wet, sit under a dryer, take them out and have loose curls when they are taken out. your hair won't be bone straight, depending on your texture and thickness, but it's the healthiest option for your hair. I think you should go get all 3 of those options done professionally if you are inexperienced, b/c you might not like the way it turns out the first time around. good luck

Question about hair?

Every morning when I get up, I shower. After showering, I part my hair down the middle of my head. I have lost a lot of hair on the right side of my head these past couple of months, and once my hair dries, the hair on my right side puffs up a little, while my left side is normal. I always spray hairspray on my right side to keep it down so that it is even. Is there any other way I could keep it down, and even, without using hairspray?

Question about hair?

Ok..I think we have a couple of things that are creating these problems for you-

1. The hairspray might be the rootcause of you loosing hair on your right side. Dont use it for some time and see if it helps.

2. Dont part or comb your hair when they are wet. Use comb only once they have semi dried.

3. Use Johnsons baby hair oil to make your hair even. Its the best and most healthy way to keep your hair in shape, without any extra chemicals. Moreso, the oil is non-sticky and would naturally moisturise your hair.

For a change, dont part your hair. Or if need be, change the parting to a side one. Hope this helps!!!

Question about hair?

I dont know

Question about hair?

when you part your hair.... run a blowdryer along the part until the roots are dry. that'll keep the frizz and flyaway free.

goodluck hunn.

also, to correct the problem of losing hair on the right side... move your part over a little. it doesn't have to be drastic... just enough to give those hair a little break!

Question about hair?

try parting your hair different----midway between the middle and right side. This should make your hair look more even.

Question about hair?

Have your hair stylist check your hair cut and thin out the right side so that it is even. If you don't want to do that stop parting your hair in the middle. part it on the right side and that will allow you to move some of the weight to the other side. and side parts look better anyway. Good luck. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

NO!

IT WILL GET ON THE HAIRS AND MAKE IT LOOK ALL NASTY!

Can u get a spray tan with hairy legs without it going streaky!!!?

This is serious advice. Do not attempt a spray tan the day before your wedding. You will regret it. If you must tan, use a bronzing makeup.

Can u get a spray tan with hairy legs without it going streaky!!!?

i figure it wouldn't work well, but i guess you could give it a try before the wedding

Can u get a spray tan with hairy legs without it going streaky!!!?

a tan would not help if you have hairy legs! ew...wax and with an event as special as a wedding I think that you can shave this time

Can u get a spray tan with hairy legs without it going streaky!!!?

Yes. I do add a little bit of cocoa butter cream or lotion to spray or tube self tanners. Wear clear latex gloves. I have applied it to males- it really doesnt matter hair or no hair. The more you do this- the better you get at a flawless application.

Can u get a spray tan with hairy legs without it going streaky!!!?

wow.....you dont shave your legs???!? thats disgusting!!!!!

just cuz you get razor bumps doesn't mean you can't remove your leg hair

try Nair or get them waxed!!!!!

geez.

Hair dye for one night only?

I want to dye my hair a crazy color for New Year's Eve, but I want something that will wash out the next day. I was thinking those spray colors but I have not used them in a long time. I need some advice on good brands or types of temp hair color that will hold up all night, and not be all stiff and nasty, but will also wash out. I've seen somthing on tv that was this thing that had temp color in it and you run your hair through it and it colors your hair? I can't remember what it's called. So help please!

Hair dye for one night only?

they sell spray haircolor in the spray paint can type of product sold at korean beauty supply stores or Sally's

Hair dye for one night only?

L'Oreal Color Pulse Concentrated Color Mousse.

Hair dye for one night only?

There is a hair product you can buy at many drug stores, in a orange box in the hair dye section, that will tint your hair a color and then rinse out in a couple hair washes, but as far as getting something bright, you would have to get a Halloween-ish spray on color, and then brush out the excess once it dries so your hair won't be overly gunky. Both should cost less than $10, so you may want to buy both, and then an hour or two before you go out on new years try one, and if that doesn't work, try the other. Good luck.

Hair dye for one night only?

I agree to try that L'Oreal Mouse because the kind that sprays is going to have a t texture like a hairspray. Plus if you want a funky wild color thats going to be your best bet if you want it to was out. But the intensity of the color is goin to be determined by what color your hair is now. If its brown it wont show up as well as if it was blonde. Whatever you choose make sure it says TEMPORARY otherwise it will take about a week or more worth of shampooing to completly come out

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

I have naturally wavy hair that after washing it, curls up quite nicely. I've been told by hairstylists when I go for a haircut or whatever, that I can keep these curls by not brushing them out and just putting curl activator or gel/mousse in and scrunching it. Well I purchased a curl activating spray from the salon and tried using it today; it worked ok but my hair still looked "unbrushed." It looked like I'd just gotten out of bed. How can I have my hair looking nice if I can't brush it?? I want to keep the curls, but if I brush it out, they just flatten out. Advice please?!

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

Take it from someone with thick curly hair - buy a really wide tooth comb and comb it out while it's still wet. Put the gel in and then comb through it again.

Don't use a brush - it ~will~ take out the wave/curl.

Good luck!!

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

when your hair is wet, put the activator in and then twist your hair around your finger...like you are making ringlets and that may help "smooth" the look

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

I'VE GOT A PERM LIKE THAT NOW AND LOVE IT. JUST BRUSH AND COMB YOUR HAIR IN THE MORNING AND THEN MIST IT WITH WATER AND SCRUNCH IT. GOOD LUCK TO YOU. YOU CAN ALWAYS FINGER COMB IF YOU WANT TO. I JUST LIKE TO FLUFF MINE SINCE I HAVE THIN HAIR.

I have a hair question; I'm not very "style savvy"; need advice...?

I have very curly hair. Never brush it. You will brush your curl right out %26amp; have a frizz ball. Wash your hair with a shampoo that encourages curl. Moisturize well. Then Using a curling mousse gently scrunch it into your hair concentraing on the ends...let air dry or use a hairdryer with a diffuser. I like to use a small amount of gel in the front of my hair just because I can get really frizzy. a good Mousse to try is Dove or anything for curls.

What hair products do you use for shiny, hydrated, no frizz or flyaway, moisturized hair/?

What hair products do you use for shiny, hydrated, no frizz or flyaway, moisturized hair/?

um.......... i don't really know but one thing that will really help! deep condition your hair once a week!

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

my hair. is killing me.

and its a little damaged from being straitend 6 days a week (during school, but during the summer i only did it if i were going somewhere)

After my shower it is all frizzy, but a couple hours later, it is flat!

i use root lifters (paul michael) and hairspray (dove, flexible hold), but they don't help!!! and i use panteen spray in conditioner, but i'm trying to use it up and switch to auzzie spray in and heat protector.

i use auzzie root cleanser and tip mender (shampoo) and the "moist" conditioner cause my hair gets dry really easily.

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

My hair is exactly like yours. Correction: WAS exactly like yours. You see, over the years I have compiled every bit of information that would help to get my hair flawless. I shall now pass it to you. But be warned! Its long and kind of strange sounding at times, for a lot of it is "home remedies" sort of thing...

INGREDIENTS:

* your chooice of shamppo and conditioner (its best to use the same brands, and if you have the money get the really expesive types from the sallon)

* 1 banana

* 1 tablesspoon of olive oil

* 2 cups of milk

* 1 teaspoon of honey

* 2 tablespoons of salt (preferable sea salt, but plain salt is fine)

* 2 tablespoons of warm vinegar

* 1 cup of warm

* baby powder

STEPS (done once a month):

1) Place the banana and olive oil in a blinder and mix into a cream. Apply to dry hair like a mask.

2) warm the milk in the microwave and add the honey to it. mix these ingredients until the honey dissolves, then pour over hair on top of the mask (OVER THE SINK!)

3) Dissolve the salt into the warm water and pour over hair.

NOW ITS TIME TO GET INTO THE SHOWER (use everyday):

4) place the shampoo in your hands and then rub into the roots of your hair WITHOUT using your nails. Once lathered, scrunch the soapy foam through the rest of your hair. Rinse.

5) Cool the shower water down so that its about room temperature. Scrunch out the extra water and place in conditioner ONLY TO THE BOTTOM END OF YOUR HAIR. In other words, don't place any on the top of your head.

6) take the time to wash the rest of your body or whatever, but don't let your hair into the water for a couple of minutes.

7) cool down the shower more so that its pretty chilly, and rinse out completely.

MORE (do this once a month with the other steps):

8) After Doing your normal wash and patting your hair dry, take the warm vinegar and pour over your head.

9) Take a small bit of conditioner and rub it into the very bottom strands of your hair.

10) pour a small amount of baby powder on the top of your head and comb through your hair.

DONE!! Yes, I know it sounds really odd but I found it to work pretty well. If you find the vinegar and oil not settling well on your scalp jut rinse it out with cold water afterwords. That's what I do.

here are some tips :

Taking Care of Hair

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

Do like I do. Shampoo mostly the roots and condition mostly the ends. Use a nice rich conditioner, and comb it through with a wide-toothed comb. Blot dry, squeezing the water out with your hands or a towel. Don't rub your hair with the towel. Blow dry only when you absolutely need to.

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

firstly, dont use Aussie. If you are on a budget, use Garnier Fructis shampoo/cond. Only wash your scalp if your hair is dry and frizzy. Apply shampoo to your hands, rub together, flip head upside down and wash only head in the shower. Apply conditioner one inch from scalp to ends. Use Biosilk or John Frieda to smooth out ends and blowdry. Both of these products available every drug and grocery store. Hot oil treatment weekly

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

You need to give it a break!! It may be just overloaded. I tried the tip mender and hated it!! Use a daily shampoo with a leave in conditioner. You don't need all the products they dry the hair out more. Use a protectant for flat irons on the hair after you blowdry and before you flat iron. Good Luck!!

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

I had that same problem until like a week ago when I randomly bought the Aussie Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. The shampoo gets rid of the excess oil but doesn't make it dry and the conditioner makes my hair soft but not oily. My hair hasn't been in this good of condition in a long time. Also try putting a little baby powder on your roots and rubbing it in. It'll keep your hair from getting oily and will make it more voluminous.

Citre-Shine, shine mis spray laminator did it for me. ONLY spray it on frizzies. baby powder makes oil go away. put it in ur roots

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

I think you are using to many products and perhaps some are to heavy for your hair type.

Buy a clarifying shampoo, this will remove any build-up on your hair. Build-up may be weighing down your hair.

Use clarifying shampoo for at least 3 days in a row.Shampoo hair and scalp. Condition hair not scalp. Then use clarifier 1 time a week to help prervent build up. Clarifying shampoo can dry out your hair if used to often. On other days use a shampoo and conditioner for normal hair.

Do not comb or brush hair flat to head, blow dry hair upside down, this will give lift.

On weekends do deep conditioning, shampoo, towel dry leaving hair damp, apply conditioner heavy and comb through with a wide tooh comb, wrap head with a hot wet towel (the water used to dip towel in should not be any hotter than you can stand on your hands, wring out excess water),leave up for 10 minutes.

When blow drying your hair straight, brush out and away from scalp.

When you brush hair next to scalp it stimulates the natural oil production and the hair absorbs it.

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

you could try going with a shorter hairstyle that is still cute and fun but easier for you to maintain. if you use less styling products you may get more mileage out of your hair.

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

SHAVE IT AND START OVER

My hair, its thin, and the roots get greasy very easily, but the rest of it gets frizzy!?

i know all too well about this problem. my hairdresser uses a toner on my hair to give it volume and at the same time use a light conditioner. when i have the frizzies i use John Freida Frizzee on the ends so I dont look like a mad woman. Good Luck

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

Okay, well- my parents have been major smokers since I was born. They're always constantly lighting a cig in my face. They can't quit, and refuse to smoke outside. I keep my clothes away in a closet, but they still reek of smoke and so does my hair- no matter how many showers I take! Is there a certain spray that will COMPLETELY eliminate this odor?

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

The best solution to your problem is to Fabreeze your clothes and self as you leave the home. I keep some in the laundry room and also the hall closet for spritzing things as they come in from parties, clubs and social events that include smokers. Although trying to avoid them as best as I can, I usually cannot escape the smokey smell that comes from them smoking in my airspace. So a little Fabreeze helps with that. Also, in the laundry room for those items that are not fresh and need dry cleaning, I can usually squeak another wearing or two out of them by a little, you guessed it, Fabreeze spritz. For removing the smell of smoke from rooms, after a party, or when smokers have visited your room, try bowls of white vinegar placed strategically around the room. Kills the smoke smell nicely, and a cheap easy fix. Good luck honey, hope this helps you!

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

you could try to wash the clothes or when you get outside you could try to put some perfume on.

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

First of all you are being harmed by your parents smoking around you. Even if you are in a different room. You are essentailly smoking with no filter and they are using the filter so that is why it is worse for you than them. You say they wont smoke outside? Well that seems a little selfish to me but maybe you need to sit them down and explain how harmful it is to you and how your clothes and your hair smell all the time. You are not asking them to stop smoking, but just to go outside or even in a garage if you have one. Unfotunately febreeze yes will mask the smell but it is always there wether you can smell it or not. Other people will always smell it around you.

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

i am so sorry, please dont EVER SMOKE!!!!! one day you will have your OWN PLACE. P.S. please try NOT to breath the second hand smoke???? it kills. they should really care. hasnt their been enough said about it already.? maybe they can use a certain room and make it their smoking lounge ? not a commom area where the other family members are who dont smoke? at least ask?? i would if my kids asked.for real.

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

Febreeze works, but since you have to go back home, it won't last long. Pray that they can quit. It is very hard.

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

I absolutely know what ur talking about.I have parents who smoke and I've asked them a million times to do it somewhere else.My clothes are constantly smelling of smoke and so is my rug in my room and all my bedding. Then they always complain because I always wash my blankets.Well if they'd quit smoking I wouldn't have to wash everything so much!!!!!Thank god in 4 years I'll be out on my own!Well I always spray frebreeze in my room but it still doesn't do much but thats all I do beside loading on lots of perfume.

My parents smoke, and my hair/clothes smell terrible. What do I do?

febreeze might work. We have an ionizer machine at work that removes odors like smoke from the rooms, it might work in the closet too.

I use Joico Ice spiker and, it turns my hair white and flaky, is ther anything i can use to make it

I style my hair like the gotti boys (dont want to be them or anything i just have the same spiked hair) i use Spiker Ice cause it has good hold and if i put alot of gel in it gives my hair that thick spiked look in the front and all around (like a crown with the middle put down) the only problem is that after a couple of hours my hair gets white and flaky. I was wondering if there was anything i could use to prevent or get rid of it.....

when i do my hair i blow dry it completely dry and up, put a bunch of gel in and then spray it with the ice half blast spray and then blow dry that dry.. PLEASE HELP

I use Joico Ice spiker and, it turns my hair white and flaky, is ther anything i can use to make it go away?

I am a stylist and I would change gels. Redken has a gel called Willpower that has a good hold. If you want to remove the build up you could use a clarifying shampoo or make a vinegar and baking soda mixture to a paste. Comb that through and shampoo like normal. You might also try putting the gel in wet hair and then blowing it dry the way you want it. Then once its dry you could use your hairspray.
